Wholesale prices are the lower prices that are
charged to stores or other businesses who are re-selling these products.
Retail prices are the higher prices that a customer pays when they buy
something for themselves.
For almost all of the products that you see at
africaimports.com, the wholesale prices are one half of the retail prices.
If you are visiting our site without being signed in, you will see the
retail prices. The wholesale prices are almost always one half of the
retail prices.
When someone visits africaimports.com they will
see retail prices by default. The wholesale prices can only be seen by
wholesale buyers.
If you are a wholesale buyer, we can set your
account to a wholesale status.
You can then see and purchase online at wholesale
prices. This is done manually by someone working at Africa Imports. It is
not an automatic process that is done by a computer. This means that when
you first visit, you will only see retail prices until you have signed in;
and until we have set your account to wholesale.
If you fill in your company information (click
here); we will know that you want your account to be wholesale; and will
set your account to be a wholesale account. This way you will see and be
able to purchase at wholesale prices whenever you are signed in. You will
get an email from a real person telling you when your account has been set
to wholesale status.

We currently only collect sales tax on orders from the state of New
Jersey.
If you are in New Jersey, we need to collect sales tax from you when
you place an order. Sales tax is currently 7% of the cost for all
non-exempt items (such as clothing).
If you are purchasing for re-sale, we do not need to collect sales tax
from you if you supply us with your sales tax exemption certificate; and
with a signed copy of NJ FORM ST3 which you can download
here.
You
can find dozens of booklets, posters, business cards, and other tools
(most of them for free) by clicking here.
Not everyone can order from us at wholesale prices. When a visitor
comes to our website they see retail prices by default.
When a visitor signs in (or logs in) they will see retail prices unless
they are already set up in our system as an existing wholesale buyer.
A visitor only sees and can order at wholesale prices when they are
logged in under an existing wholesale account.
To register as a wholesale customer, first sign in, and next fill out a
form requesting to be recognized as a wholesale customer. We will then set
your account to wholesale status.

The affiliate program is only for website owners who want to offer
these products on their website. This usually works best for customers who
are not selling these products as their main business. If you are selling
African products in a store, from your home, or some other way, the
affiliate program is probably not best for you. If you have a website
where visitors come for some other reason; and they might want African
products too; the affiliate program lets you get paid a commission when
one of your visitors orders something from this website.
