Used by the Senufo people as a measure for liquids and ointments. This item is painstakingly hand carved in traditional African style. African name "chapalo" is actually a Bambara word for an alcoholic drink. The measure is often used for measuring out these drinks. Male and female ancestral figures are highly valued by the senufo people. They are often displayed at weddings, funerals, and other rites of passage. 10" tall x 4" wide.
