Shea butter is great for the skin, but sadly, it can sometimes get grease stains on your clothes or fabrics. :( But don't worry! There are few simple home remedies that can easily treat and remove shea butter stains: 1. Put cornmeal, salt or cornstarch on it to absorb the grease and brush off after a few minutes. 2. Next work dish detergent into the stain from the back, rub it in gently and then rinse thoroughly with white vinegar. Or do the same as above but instead of white vinegar use hot water blasted with a shower head or faucet sprayer for 10-20 seconds. You may have to do this a couple of times. Try not to dry it before you do this process or it may set the stain and will be harder/impossible to remove. **If the stain has "set" do the following: 1. Place a piece of cardboard in between the area with the stain and the back of the garment, this is to protect the back so it doesn't get more oil on it. 2. Spray the stain with WD 40 just a bit then sprinkle baking soda over it. Scrub with an old toothbrush. It will cause oily lumps of soda, brush it off then do more soda at least once or twice more until you don't get any oily lumps of soda any more. 3. Put on dish detergent and scrub with the toothbrush. Take out the card board piece and wash as normal. Want to order your own shea butter at affordable prices? Check out the links below!
