Esther Finds A Home At Moukondo Orphanage

Here at Africa Imports, a percentage of every purchase made is used to support orphanages in Congo and a home for street boys in Senegal. Orphan children are provided with housing, clothing, food, medical supplies, and education. Here’s an update sent to us about Esther, pictured above: "Esther has been at the orphanage for just 7 days now. She was living on the streets. Her mom died and her dad took another wife that was beating her, not feeding her and whenever her dad was absent she was in terror so she moved to the street. Social Services were told about her and found her and brought her to Moukondo. She is about 8 or 9 years of age. She sits by herself and there is another young girl at the orphanage named Ida that is so resistant to her presence there so please pray that because of Ida she won't head for the streets again. Ida was disciplined twice during our 3 hours there for her behaviour with Esther. HE knows - we are praying for the Lord to show Himself strong both for Esther and for Ida. Brice's story on Davíd's sin talked about forgiveness and they read Psalms 51 and they had specific prayer for Ida. Our enemy makes lots of racket - but he is a defeated foe."
