Karela juice is an extract of pure Karela or Bitter Gourd or Bitter Melon. Bitter gourd is popular for its ability to regulate blood sugar levels. Scientifically, Bitter gourd reduces the amount of glucose that is released into the blood by inhibiting the enzymes that break down disaccharides to two monosaccharides (e.g. glucose) One of the most interesting uses of bitter melon extract is to help reduce blood sugar. It may not treat diabetes, but people have used it to help with their diabetes. But you shouldn't take diabetes medication and take bitter melon extract at the same time as blood sugar levels could become too low. Monitor your blood sugar levels. It has been used for various stomach and intestinal disorders including gastrointestinal (GI) upset, ulcers, colitis, constipation, and intestinal worms. It is also used for diabetes, kidney stones, fever, a skin condition called psoriasis, and liver disease; to start menstruation; and as supportive treatment for people with HIV/AIDS. Though you shouldn't depend on bitter melon as a primary treatment. Bitter Melon has a distinct warty exterior and an oblong shape. It is hollow in cross-section, with a relatively thin layer of flesh surrounding a central seed cavity filled with large, flat seeds and pith. The fruit is most often consumed while it bears it’s green color. At this stage, the fruit's flesh is crunchy and watery in texture. The skin is tender and edible. Seeds and pith appear white in unripe fruits; they are not intensely bitter and can be removed before cooking. Try some Karela Juice today, click here.
