This day in honor of all the heroes who died fighting for independence is named for the county's founding president, Jomo Kenyatta. Kenyatta was not only a visionary leader but a brave & intelligent man who led the Kenyan's fight through the tough British colonialists leading to the Independence of a free Kenya ruled by the Kenyans.
