Gordie, Jonathan and Grace

At Africa Imports, a percentage of every purchase is used to support several orphanages throughout Africa. One of these orphanages is the Mpila Orphanage in the Congo, where children can sleep and play in safety and good care. We recently got a letter from our representative at the orphanage. We thought we'd share it with you as a thank you for all your help and support through your purchases.

"Wayne, these children are from Rwanda. They were found here in Brazza, Congo. Their father died of tuberculosis, and their mother left to be with another man in a village north of Brazza. The neighbors reported the conditions to Social Services and all three were then brought to the Mpila orphanage. Their names are Gordie, Jonathan and Grace - left to right. They do not know if their mother is still living. They have been at orphanage 18 months now."
