African Women's Self Help Groups

Women in Africa often have very difficult lives. They can have a lot of responsibilities, and few chances to get the money needed for them. This makes life especially hard for women in rural villages, like the ones shown here. These Self Help groups give women some job training, a communal system for them to each have a very small business, and the confidence and self respect needed to be successful this way.
