You're giving your customer a solution. You're not just making a sale
. Your customer has a need. You have a product to fulfill that need or solve that problem. Keep remembering this, especially when you are afraid about approaching a customer. Keep their solution in mind. Listen to your customer.
As Walter Haley said, "If you want to sell, ask don't tell." Keep your ears open, and really listen. Ask questions, ask questions, ask questions. Give the prospect all your attention and don't get distracted. Plan your day efficiently.
Use any free time to generate more business or come up with new ideas to be more unique than the competition. Develop empathy for your customer's ideas and standpoint:
"I understand . . ." Another Walter Haley saying was "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." Be Obsessed: Learn to love what you do for a living and have fun.
