About Authentic Mud Cloth
What is the difference between the old edition and new edition oils?
The original manufacturer of some of our oils raised their prices by a large amount recently but we were able to find oils that are the same or better quality from different manufacturers.
We added these same oils from the new manufacturer at lower prices, and kept the original higher priced oils also with the words “OLD EDITION” added to the title of the oil.
Some customers like the new editions better, and other people like the old edition oil most. The strength and quality is the same, but there may be subtle differences in the scent.
We offer both so that you can choose the one that is best for you.

4 Great selection of patterns
Posted by Dale on 06/01/2019 02:00
I have bought a number of pieces of mudcloth from Africa Imports and they are beautiful works of art at a great price. They have a strong odor when they arrive and it takes a month or two for the smell to go away. Since they are handmade with mud they are dirty. When I cut them there is a gritty dirt residue left on my cutting mat. There may also be dirt spots on the fabric if they have a white background but you can usually spot clean them with a mild detergent. Many of them need to be repaired at the seams which I do on my sewing machine with a wide zig zag stitch.

When I recieved my indigo mudcloth, I was blown away by how beautiful it was (don't get me wrong, the pictures on the website were stunning but to open my box and pull out the mud cloth and see it in person...I was blown away.) I almost don't want to give away the gift that I created out of the mud cloth, but that being said, it will give me a reason to buy another one. I also can't thank the staff at Africa Imports enough for their kind and courteous manner in helping me with the issue I ran into when trying to order my cloth. I will DEFINITELY be buying from them again!!

I have been using mudcloth boubous and shirts for more than eight years. They wear very comfortably, and withstand multiple washing by hand. No problem. I just love mudcloth. I suspect you may love it too if you dare to try it.
