Milton Olive III

This Memorial Day we want to honor some of the exceptional African American heroes who have served our country over the years. We hope you all have a blessed Memorial Day!

Milton Olive saved the lives of four other army soldiers during a firefight early in the Vietnam War. He threw his body onto a grenade that enemy soldiers had thrown; thus saving four soldiers by forfeiting his own life. He was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
