Choosing the right fragrance is important. Each fragrance will give off different notes. There are many different notes to take into consideration when you choose to make your own perfume. Some of the most popular notes include:

Vetiver – Woody and earthy, Vetiver is part of the woody fragrance family and used as a base note for many musky fragrances.
Step 2 – Gather Everything You Need
In order to make perfume by yourself, you will need to pick up a few items Many of the items can be found at a more than reasonable price in most common stores. Do note that you will need to be over the age of 21 to purchase the alcohol.
- -Your chosen fragrance oil from Africa Imports.
- -A spray bottle.
- -A measuring device such as a pipette.
- -Preferably denatured alcohol, however this can be hard to find and usually is quite expensive. Everclear can be found in most liquor stores.
Step 3 – The Mixing Process
In this step, you will mix your fragrance oil with your alcohol. To do this, you will measure enough fragrance oil with your pipette to fill roughly one fifth to one quarter of the spray bottle. You can add less than this or more if you wish depending on how strong you want your perfume to smell. For a 1/3 Oz bottle, this will equate to 2ml.
You will then want to fill the rest of the spray bottle with your alcohol. Put the lid on and shake the spray bottle well to ensure that the alcohol mixes well with your chosen fragrance oil.
Step 4 – Let Your Perfume Age
The final step to the process is to let your now mixed perfume age for 1-3 weeks depending on how consistent you want your perfume to be. The perfume can immediately be used if you wish, however we recommend letting the perfume properly develop which can take a few weeks. This lets the alcohol and the fragrance oil blend together well, ensuring a strong and consistent smelling perfume.
