Megasa and his wife Anastasia live in rural Tanzania with seven children that they have adopted.
They are both exceptionally loving parents, and have not only housed, fed, and clothed each of these orphan children. They have paid money to have them in school even though they have very little money to pay for their needs.
Magesa and Anastasia work in a garden where they are able to raise most of the food needed for their family. They have each made major sacrifices to be able to take care of these children. Each of these children had no home before being taken in this way. They have acted as parents for each of these children from a very young age.
In the photo above, Magesa is shown taking them to school in the morning on his motorcycle. It is the only transportation available to them, and requires two trips to get them to school, and another two trips to bring them home at the end of the day.
Anastasia also teaches the children extra lessons in addition to all of the work needed to keep the home running with so many young children.
We have known Magesa and Anastasia for more than five years now. The children are very polite and seem to be very well behaved in other ways.
Watching their love and commitment to all of these children over the last five or more years, has been an inspiration to us. I also know other people around them who have praised their love and commitment to these otherwise neglected children.
