Meet Angela

Angela helps small children suffering from malnutrition in The Gambia. The child shown with her here is between 2 and 3 years old, and weighs about 13 lbs. Because so many parents do not have enough money for proper food, malnutrition is common. The parents can bring the child to the clinic where Angela is for help with this – even when they can not afford to pay. Here Angela will check the child for problems, and give them a special drink, and a therapeutic food (Plumpy nuts) that the child can have at home.

Angela wrote “It’s really a great opportunity to serve. It always gives me peace of heart and joy just to serve a person” when she sent us this photo. We have known Angela for many years now. She is a very kind and caring person who has given her life to helping children in need like this. Most of Angela’s salary is paid for by your purchases from Africa Imports.
