Rachael Shipopa is making a huge difference in the lives of the street boys shown with her here.
One day she was driving to her work as a school principal, and saw three street boys sleeping in a narrow median area of a busy street. If you have ever experienced traffic in Africa, you can better picture how dangerous and scary this would be to see.
Rachael decided that she could not drive by these boys and ignore their situation. Instead she arranged to take them to her home and give them each a meal. The next Saturday she did this again, and then continued doing this each Saturday, with a few more street boys being taken in each week.
The boys all call her Mama Rachael.
