What Your Customers Want

Do you know what your customers really want?

 

 

If you don’t know your products inside out, then you can’t give your customers the help that they need. None of us has time to figure out everything that is available at a store or other business that we go to.

It’s easy to know some of what your customers want. Here are three fast ways you can know what to offer, and get more sales for your business fast.

1. Offer quantity discounts. When someone buys a small container of something, let them know if there is a bigger container that can save them money. If they buy one of a certain product, let them know that they can order a second one for a friend at a lower price.

2. Know what products go together. If someone orders an African spear, offer them a shield to go with it.

3. Know the more expensive complimentary products. Not only can your own sales go up this way. Your customer might end up a lot happier with their purchase than they ever would have otherwise. First of all you need to know what you have; what goes together; and what you are going to offer. Know this before anyone buys something. 

Don’t try to make things up on the spot: it won’t work. People can tell that this is what you are doing; and you won’t be able to come up with the ideas that work best on the spur of the moment.
