Why Body Mists Earn Their Shelf Space
A body mist, also called a body spray or body splash, is a lighter alternative to perfume. It carries less fragrance, so the scent is softer and people reapply it through the day.
That lighter scent is what drives repeat sales. Customers spray more often, finish a bottle sooner and come back for another. At $5.00, a mist is also an impulse buy that customers add to a bigger purchase without thinking twice.
The margin maths is simple. Buy at $2.50, sell at $5.00, and you keep $2.50 on every bottle, a 50% margin. Buy 12 or more of one scent and your cost drops to about $2.08, so you keep about $2.92 a bottle.
Selling points to share with your customers:
- A new scent for $5, without paying for a full bottle of perfume.
- A scent for every part of the day: something fresh for work, sweet for the weekend, warmer for the evening.
- A 4 oz bottle that fits in a purse, gym bag or glove box.

Build A Scent Line
Many of our mists share a scent name with one of our designer perfume oils (designer perfume oils), including Baccarat Rouge, Pink Sugar, Dior Sauvage and Good Girl. That lets you sell one scent two ways: the oil for staying power, the mist for a light refresh through the day. Add a lotion or soap and you have a gift set built around a scent your customer already loves.
Egyptian Musk goes furthest. It comes as a mist, a perfume oil, a lotion, a body butter and a body wash, so one scent can fill a whole shelf. If you’re just starting out, our Business Startup Kits group best sellers together, so you can test what sells before you commit.
Merchandising Tips
- Set out testers. Open one bottle of each scent and label it. At $2.50, a tester pays for itself after one sale.
- Display by gender or scent family. Either way, customers can scan your table quickly. Put best sellers at eye level.
- Bundle at checkout. Keep a basket of mists by the register. An offer like “2 for $9” still leaves you about $4 profit.
- Build gift sets. For Christmas/Kwanzaa, put three mists from one scent family in a gift bag. For Valentine’s Day, pair a women’s and a men’s mist, or match a mist with its perfume oil. Explore Christmas/Kwanzaa gifts and Valentine’s Day gifts.
Tips to Share With Customers
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Spray onto clean skin after a shower, while skin is still slightly damp.
- Focus on warm spots like the neck, wrists and chest.
- Reapply through the day, or layer with a matching lotion or perfume oil.

FAQs
What is the difference between body mist, body spray and perfume?
Body mist and body spray usually mean the same thing: a light, everyday scent with a low amount of fragrance. Perfume has the most fragrance, so it’s stronger and lasts longer. Our mists list just water and fragrance as ingredients, so they’re softer and made to be reapplied.
What size are the body mists and how many sprays per bottle?
Each mist comes in a 4 oz (about 118 ml) spray bottle. That gives roughly 600 to 1,000 sprays, depending on how long each spray is held.
What retail price do resellers usually charge?
Our suggested retail price is $5.00 per bottle. Some resellers charge more when a mist is part of a gift set or bundle.
Do you have the same scents as perfume oils?
Yes, for many best sellers, including Baccarat Rouge, Pink Sugar, Dior Sauvage, Good Girl and Egyptian Musk. A mist is much lighter than an oil, so the two won’t smell exactly the same on the skin.
What’s in the Set of 30, and can I choose the scents?
The Set of 30 Body Mists is a fixed mix of men’s and women’s scents, listed in full on the product page. You can’t swap scents, but you can build your own mix by adding single mists to your cart.
Do you offer bulk discounts on body mists?
Yes. Buy 12 or more of the same mist and save 16.67%. The Set of 30 works out to about $1.67 a bottle. You’ll also find our monthly sale on our Special Prices page.
How long do body mists last on the shelf?
Store mists in a cool, dark place away from sunlight and heat, with caps closed tightly. Sell your oldest stock first. Slight cloudiness is normal.
Can body mists ship internationally?
Yes. International shipping is calculated after your order is packed, and orders over $500 get discounted shipping. Customs fees aren’t included, so check that body mists can be imported into your country before you order.
Are these the original designer fragrances?
No. Our designer-inspired mists are our own impressions of well-known scents. They are not made by or for the original designers.
How often do you add new scents?
We add new scents through the year. Recent additions include our impressions of Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 42 and Xerjoff Lira. See our New Items page for the latest.
Designer and brand names are used only to describe the style of scent. These mists are not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by the original designers. Suggest that customers with sensitive skin test a small area first.
