This week we are adding some posts from other Africa Imports customers that tell how they have been both surviving and thriving in their business during the coronavirus lockdowns. Here is one customer's story. You can see more stories like this here
I've been a healthcare provider and lead organizer for a union for 18 years until both my mom and brother passed. My Union shut down in March due to the pandemic and now I'm unemployed. Since then, I've restarted my old passion for sewing and selling health products.
Once I started rekindling my joy my ex-husband died. I thought restarting my business was over because of the heartaches and sadness. Consequently, my ex-husband's family wants me to make t-shirts and mask for the memorial.
I can truly say I understand now why the Bible says, 'all things work together'. I believe all of the loss of loved ones has reconnected me with who I am. I am strong! This pandemic is not a defeat, but a distraction. As long as I keep my eyes on what I can do to make a difference it'll keep my mind off the things I can't change.
